As a live music fan, I am excited to be launching Zipgig, an all-in-one booking platform for independent venues and bands to book gigs instantly.
The goal of Zipgig is to easily enable great live music played in venues for the enjoyment of the venues’ and bands’ fans and guests (like me!).
Zipgig will launch soon (for launch updates, click the prompts on our homepage, or follow us on Facebook or Instagram). What I love most about building this platform for venues and bands is that through creating musical relationships in the community, I get to watch some amazing bands play in equally great independent venues.
To support these bands, I’m launching the Stories in Music series in the Zipgig blog, Spotlight Chronicles. I’m interviewing 10 SF bay area bands over the next 6 weeks, to chronicle their stories about their music, what inspires them, and how they connect with their audiences, and then attending one of their shows at a venue around the bay.
Here’s the initial roster of 10 bands and where they are playing. I’ll add more bands during March and April. After each show, I’ll be sharing the interview and pics in a blogpost under the Stories in Music category. Please check our blog for each post or subscribe to our blog list for the emailed version, or check our Facebook or Instagram pages.
If you are in the SF bay area, come out and enjoy some live music from one (or two or three…) of these unique and original bands!
